Now Parently & Bugaboo offer popular strollers in subscription format

Thanks to a new collaboration with the Swedish startup Parently, consumers now have the option to rent Bugaboo's baby products when needed. A newly created subscription option that will reduce Bugaboo's product wastage in the market, increase accessibility and improve their relationship with their users.

Today, Bugaboo is one of Europe's leading premium manufacturers of strollers and other children's products. Their unique design is a conscious trend choice for maNew parents of young children, which does not go unnoticed, mainly in big cities and residential areas.

Before their latest venture which focuses on reaching the customers of the new age, i.e. the "sustainable users", they choose to start a collaboration with the Stockholm-based compaNew Parently - the first in the Nordics to offer premium children's products as a service.

- Our users are becoming more and more aware of sustainability and more are looking for accessibility rather than ownership. Together with Parently, we can now offer subscriptions to new and reused products in the Nordics, starting with Sweden, says Daniel Lindén, country manager at Bugaboo Nordics.

That's how Parently works

The service means that the user only pays for the period the product is used. When the user no longer needs the product, it is picked up by Parently who then reconditions, stores and checks the product before sending it on to the next happy family. All products are insured, which increases security for users.

- This is an innovative way for us to be able to offer our products to a new market and through it also be able to improve our product development and create even more durable products for the circular economy. Parently allows us to take a big step forward, says Rolf Smeding, business development manager at Bugaboo HQ.

Increased customer satisfaction as a bonus

In addition to finding a new solution to reach a valuable target group, Bugaboo, together with Parently's help, will also be able to maintain an improved dialogue with its users over a longer period of time. Something that is rare today as consumers in the baby product market prefer to seek information via other platforms than from the compaNew itself - which makes it more difficult for the compaNew to provide the right information to its users.

It will make it easier to move consumers to sustainable users and not least to be a bigger player in the public space in terms of innovative circular business models, on a European level, says David Knutsson, founder and CEO of Parently.

In 2021, Parently's operations will expand in the Nordics with Bugaboo as one of maNew well-known premium brands.
